"One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in his temple” (Psalms 27:4, NIV).
While most of us do not have the luxury to “dwell” anywhere during an average, busy day, we may still seek God in his temple and stare at his beauty in wonder every day. The temple that David so longed to visit was transformed completely when Jesus Christ claimed the church, his bride, for Himself centuries later. Wherever we are, joined in Spirit by the refreshment of a cup of tea, we are his beloved church.
“Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord” (Ephesians 2:20-21, NLT).
I hope that you will come to enjoy a few minutes of rest with the Lord every time you enter his home through the door of our teatime ministry.
